A seminar on "Diverse and inclusive work practices – meeting organisational needs and growing opportunities" will be organized at hotel U14. The speakers will represent both Irish and Finnish perspective on the topic.  See below. There is a slight change in scheduling.

Siobhán McKenna

Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Public Appointments Service/publicjobs.ie

Siobhán is the Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at the Public Appointments Service (publicjobs.ie), Ireland’s centralised provider of recruitment services across the civil and public service where she is focused on ensuring that the Irish civil service reflects the growing diversity of Irish society.

Siobhán returned to Dublin in 2021 having spent 20 years in the non-profit and public sectors in London. In 2009, Siobhán joined City Hall, where she held several roles including Youth Programme Manager, senior Social Policy Advisor to the Mayor of London and Education Programme Manager at London’s Violence Reduction Unit. Siobhán also developed and delivered the workplace equality, diversity and inclusion priorities for the Mayor of London and key front-line public sector organisations within the Mayor’s remit.

Siobhán recently joined the board of Black & Irish, a non-profit organisation that aims to empower and amplify the voice of black and mixed-race Irish people.

Siobhán holds a Batchelors degree in Social Science (International) from UCD and an MPhil in Ethnic and Racial Studies from Trinity College Dublin.

Sandra Healy

CEO and Founder of Inclusio

Sandra Healy is CEO and founder of inclusio, the scientific Diversity and Culture software platform.

Sandra's career spanned 20 years in the global telecoms industry and five years at Dublin City University, where she established the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion and in 2020, spun-out inclusio. 

Sandra is an Organisational Psychologist and NLP Master Practitioner. Over the past 18 years she has championed and driven diversity and inclusion practice across industry and is considered a leading expert. 

In 2014, she was involved in establishing the EU Diversity Charter Ireland. In 2020 Sandra was a member of the Expert Advisory Group for Ireland’s Citizens Assembly on Gender Equality and is on the Leadership Advisory Council for An Garda Síochána.

John Nylund

Talent Acquisition Partner Netflix Games- EMEA

John Leads the talent acquisition for Netflix new business initiative of games for the EMEA region.

With over 15 years in recruitment focusing primarily in tech, John has been working hands-on in delivering as well as leading the strategic initiatives for recruitment. 

Initially starting as a consultant and establishing two international recruitment agencies in Helsinki to now working for a well-known international entertainment powerhouse, John has been able to gain perspective on recruitment challenges for Finland from many different perspectives and understands the importance and impact of international recruitment.

Elin Eklöf

Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Wärtsilä Corporation

Elin Eklöf is an experienced HR leader with a passion for identifying, engaging and nurturing talent.

Her 20-year career has seen her working for large blue chip companies such as Microsoft, RSA and Sanofi to deliver solutions to optimise workforce planning, from recruitment to talent management.

She is currently Head of Talent Acquisition strategy at Wärtsilä, a Finnish company named on the Times 100 list for its achievements in advancing decarbonisation of marine and energy. 


Mikko Räsänen

Elinkeinoelämän keskusliitto

Mikko has worked at EK for over 20 years, recently as an expert in labor and immigration policy.  For several years, he has been involved in negotiation activities and legislative preparations related to labor and immigration services, and social integration.

 

Mikko has a masters degree in law from the University of Helsinki.
